We used to have it so easy.

Our funnels were clear and linear. They were easy to set up because they were based on how we wanted to sell. But today's buyers journey looks more like this:

User expectations have shifted. Users want to try products before they buy them. And they now have all the control over the buying process. Product is playing a bigger role in every company's go-to-market. And it's now more important than ever to create a cohesive customer experience across all of your touchpoints: marketing, sales, product, and service.

But one of the biggest problems that modern software teams face is the siloed data created by the various tools and systems we use. How can we create a cohesive experience when our tools aren't speaking the same language? User behavior is random, and traditional CRMs and marketing automation tools are based on linear, rules-based funnels.

Introducing the Appcues<>HubSpot Integration

Our bi-directional Appcues <> HubSpot Integration helps you unify marketing, CRM, and product data to deliver a more cohesive and personalized customer experience.

With this integration, you can send Appcues survey and event data to HubSpot, allowing you to keep leads and contact records up to date based on actual product behavior. You can use it to:

  • Send highly targeted, behavioral emails
  • Create personalized ad campaigns that drive further product adoption
  • Keep your sales team in the loop about how leads are using the product

In addition, you can send HubSpot data to Appcues to personalize your product experience based on CRM and marketing data. You can build segments and target in-product experiences based on virtually any attribute in HubSpot. At the individual level, you can use things like name, email, role, etc. Or at the organizational level, you can base things on plan type, MRR, company size, etc

With these powers combined, here’s a peek into what you’re able to do:

@media only screen and (max-width: 600px){.blog-table-div { width: 100%; overflow-x: auto;}}.blog-table { font-size: 14px; width: 100%; text-align: center;}.blog-table-head { background-color: #5C5CFF;}.blog-table-head td { background-color: #5C5CFF; padding: 10px; color: #ffffff;}.blog-tbody td { border-right: solid 1px #C0C6D9; border-bottom: solid 1px #C0C6D9; border-left: solid 1px #C0C6D9; padding: 10px; font-weight: 400;}/* the below is the bold for the first column */.blog-tbody td:first-child { font-weight: 400;}/* the above is the bold for the first column */
@ the user level @ the organizational level
Tailor onboarding experiences by role, persona, intent, etc. Tailor onboarding experiences by organizational size, type, MRR, etc.

Follow up with users who’ve previously left a specific NPS score to gain feedback or encourage reviews. Announce upcoming renewals to all users within an organization based on their renewal date.
Encourage upgrades to users based on their usage or to those who take a specific action. Block users associated with accounts that have lapsed in payment or renewal from accessing the product.

One step closer to a world without functional silos

The best customer experiences are seamless and personalized no matter the touchpoint. But they're hard to create. We believe in a world without functional silos, in which product teams and go-to-market teams are aligned around what’s best for both the user and the commercial goals of the business. But data silos are still a major challenge in making this world a reality.
